Gibbon Snow prepared the design and construction documents for exterior cladding restoration of these 1869 historic buildings located in Bonavista, NL for Parks Canada and the Federal Heritage Buildings Review Office. Work included partial restoration and some replacement of the original wood clapboard and trims. Critical to this project was careful selection of repair and paint materials as well as control of the work on site to ensure proper environmental control measures were in place, in keeping with the Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of Historic Places in Canada.
